City of Miami Gardens Mayor Provides Laptops to Nyah Project Fellows

On September 5, 2019, Oliver G. Gilbert, III, City of Miami Gardens Mayor, surprised three Nyah Project fellows at Miami Norland Senior High School. 2018 Fellows, Samuel Mukasa and Anaisa Tate, and 2019 Fellow, Jeremiah Johnson, received brand new laptop computers which are essential to their college and scholarship application process.

All three fellows hail from Miami Gardens, are currently seniors, and participate in ACCESS, Nyah Project’s signature 12-session, group and individual format, college application and scholarship acquisition strategy coaching. To date, 100% of Nyah Project fellows are accepted to university and 90% win scholarship.
