We Believe Access Changes Lives
In 2014, Leigh-Ann Buchanan founded Nyah Project to clear the pathway into college for underrepresented students.
We provide training and tech based tools to remove the practical and systemic barriers to the life-changing opportunities that higher education brings.
Our impact to date is evidence that Access Changes Lives:
100% of students in our fellows program immediately enroll in college, exceeding national averages by upwards of 40%.
What’s more, 95% of our fellows win scholarships and have accumulated over $26 million (and counting).
Over 96% attribute their success to the programs and opportunities provided by Nyah Project.
Access Online, our on-demand college admissions strategy and skill-building platform has attracted over 50,000 course enrolments and increased the number of students we serve by 560% during the first two years.
Yet, we cannot reach this goal alone. We need more individual supporters, institutional funders and organizational partners to sustain and grow our impact.
Mission
Remove the practical and systemic barriers to life changing opportunities, including higher education, leadership development and transformative fellowships abroad.
Vision
Support more than 100,000 underrepresented students through their college admissions journey and unlock more than $1 billion in scholarships.
