On the role his Nyah Project experience played in his personal development, Dewayne remarks, “I've always aspired to travel and develop my leadership skills in a foreign environment so I could understand the challenges I may face in the future as a global leader.”

In June 2020, Dewayne will graduate from American Senior High School with a 4.5 weighted GPA. He will attend Hamilton College on a full scholarship courtesy of the Posse Foundation. He credits Nyah Project’s ACCESS coaching as “critical to my success throughout this process - providing me unique experiences to discuss in my application and a community of support in all facets.”
