As part of our process for selecting the upcoming class of Nyah Project fellows, we’re excited to host our annual Global Impact Challenge.
PURPOSE
Our primary goal is to showcase our impact partners and introduce our prospective fellows to the importance of social responsibility and learn how to develop experiential leadership skills by solving real world challenges.
THE ASK
We ask you to share 1-2 challenges that you would like high school students to come up with solutions for. Challenges should align with one or more of the United Nation Sustainable Development Goals. If feasible, you can source ideas from your students or population you serve. Challenge ideas require no more than a 3 - 5 sentence description.
BENEFITS
Each impact partner will be featured in a social media campaign leading up the LEAD Summit on March 16th, 2024. If a winning project is based on your challenge, the award will be special recognition as well as a monetary micro-grant to be split between the winning team and you, the impact partner.
HOW THE CHALLENGE WORKS
Teams of semi-finalists for the Global Youth Leadership Fellowship will come up with a solution to help address one of the challenges submitted by an impact partner. Teams will be required to complete a professionally recorded 2-3 minute Impact Project Video Pitch. The videos will be voted on online, as well as sent to you, the impact partner.
The top three (3) videos with the most votes will be displayed via a live virtual pitch event for a panel of social impact judges on March 16th, 2024. The judges will decide which team has the most compelling pitch in order to win the Impact Challenge Award.
The award will be special recognition as well as a monetary micro-grant to be split between the winning team and the impact partner.
